Al Bowley was my father's favourite of all time in the 30's my father survived the 2nd world war and sadly died 90 yrs young and I listen to al Bowley even today 2025 god bless my father and al Bowley I miss you dad love you your son percy x

Dorothy was SPOT ON! No glamour today - it’s all SHITE! She had style and presence as well as talent - and that’s why she lasted so long - and still not forgotten. I want my Stars to look like Stars - not like someone you might bump into in a chip shop!

Dirk Bogarde is indeed my favorite actor. The first film I had seen him in a film I thought instantly, "This man sure can entertain." I applaud him to the highest degree.

To think Dirk was never nominated for an Oscar the courage it took for Dirk to make Victim in1961 at the height of his film stardom and then to follow it up with The Servant two years after Victim is rather incredible I’m glad Darling director Joh Schlesinger didn’t cut Dirk out of the film like he had planned Julie Christie won aOscar and Dirk won a Bafta

Sir Richard Attenborough said Dirk was the first recipient of the bafta lifetime award not Peter otoole or Michael Caine or Albert Finley or Sean Connery or Richard burton posthumously or James mason posthumously it really tells you what Dirk s peers thought of him and his immense talent as a film actor as for the quality of the tape bid thanks for posting the video mate it was great to see Dirk and the beautiful and lovely Jean Simmons Leslie Caron I wish Sylvia syms could have been there at least we got to see her in victim a incredibly brave and courageous film for Dirk to make at the height of his fame and popularity way back in 1961
